HUNDREDS of school children in Didcot had a whistle-stop tour around the world for International Day.
Pupils from 10 primary schools linked up for the 15th Didcot Girls' School International Day.
Each school ran a country-themed stall with a host of activities representing countries from across the world, at Cockcroft Hall in Manor Crescent.
Children were given travel tickets for 25-minute stops at each country activity.
Student Bethany Lockyer, 11, from Willowcroft Community School, said: "It has been really fun and inspiring, I really liked it.
"We made Chinese lanterns and making Chinese necklaces."
The whistle-stop tour travelled from Ireland to Brazil and countries in between.
Children got stuck into Chinese lantern making, food tasting, dancing and creating headdress.
Student Hannah Watts, seven, also from Willowcroft Community School, added: "It is really fun and amazing, we have been taking pictures and making green and yellow masks for Brazil."
The school's International Day has been running since 2001 and is hosted by the Didcot Girls' School Year 8 pupils.
It is hoped the day, which took place on February 6, gives pupils the chance to meet new friends and see what life is like at the secondary school - a language specialist college.
The annual celebration attracts hundreds of pupils each year.
