A MAN has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a mother and her children died in an eight-vehicle crash on the A34.

Tomasz Kroker from Tarjan Walk, Andover, was charged today with four counts of death by dangerous driving and one count of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

The charges relate to the crash on August 10 near East Ilsley in which Tracy Houghton, her sons Ethan, 13, and Josh, 11, and her partner's daughter Aimee Goldsmith, died. The family from Bedfordshire were making their way home from a camping trip.

Mrs Houghton's partner Mark Goldsmith witnessed the horrific crash and suffered whiplash and a broken rib as he drove his own Vauxhall car with his 13-year-old son Jake as a passenger.

Kroker, 30, will appear before Reading Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
