THEY say 'it's a dog's life', but for the pups at Oxfordshire Animals Sanctuary, life seems to just keep getting better.
After announcing in January that their founder Margaret Gray had left them a £300,000 bequest in her will to fund a massive refurbishment, the team have now had another major cash boost.
National charity Support Adoption for Pets – the charity arm of Pets at Home – has this month awarded the sanctuary a £30,000 grant.
This donation will go towards a new 10-block dog kennel which is being built next year in the spring.
The good news also comes hot on the heels of the sanctuary's £3,000 new dog grooming room, Paddy's Parlour, which was made possible by cash gifts from three generous donors.
Sanctuary manager Iain Atkin said the whole team was delighted with the latest generous donation from Support Adoption for Pets and gave their thanks.
