Council leaders have given the go-ahead for a £5.7m revamp of Didcot Parkway railway station.
Work on the forecourt will begin in April, introducing more bus stops, a larger taxi rank, a drop-off area, disabled parking and covered bike parking areas. Work will last 18 months.
The cash will come from Oxfordshire County Council, South Oxfordshire District Council, the Government and a pot of cash from developers given as part of other projects.
District councillors backed their £812,000 contribution on Thursday.
