MILITARY wives showcased the fruit of their labours when the BBC visited to catch up on their new garden.
A crew from TV’s Gardeners’ World paid their fifth visit to Didcot’s Vauxhall Barracks to see food and flowers grown by the women.
The efforts of the group of a dozen women are being broadcast on the Friday night BBC Two show, featuring presenter Rachel de Thame, pictured second left with, from left to right, Amy Neale, Alexis and Lauren Kemp, Rachel, Alexander and Daniel Howard and Fraser Neale. Mrs Neale, 28, married to Sgt Richard Neal of the 11 EOD bomb disposal regiment, said: “It was nice to have a community project, especially for me as I have just moved here.”
The mum-of-two, who recently moved from Germany, said: “It was a nice way for me to make friends. It has worked out fantastically.”
