WOODLAND animals are on their way to Thame to play their part in a stage production.
The Secret Garden play is heading to The Players Theatre in Nelson Street on Friday for 7.45pm.
It features various creatures include Captain the fox who is saved from drowning by 12-year-old Dickon.
Dickon is played by actor James Laurence Hunter.
Mr Hunter said: “Dickon is a really young Yorkshire lad with loads of energy and who thinks he can talk to animals and they can talk to him.
“It’s a lot of fun to play and the show is brilliant. It has a lot of incredible hand-crafted wooden animal puppets. I have never been to Oxfordshire so I’m really looking forward to it.”
“I love getting to go to some really nice towns and villages, it’s great,” he added.
Mr Hunter, who is originally from Newcastle, is touring with Basingstoke-based Proteus Theatre Company’s production of The Secret Garden.
