A SUPPORT group will discuss care and support available for people with rheumatoid arthritis at an event in Dorchester.
The West Dorset branch of the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) is hosting the meeting at the Dorchester Day Centre in Acland Road from 7pm on Thursday, March 28.
As well as offering advice on how people can manage the disease effectively, the support group offers the chance for people to come together and see they are not alone, with an estimated 7,500 sufferers in Dorset.
Chief executive of the NRAS Alisa Bosworth, who is a rheumatoid arthritis patient, said: “These group meetings provide valuable information on how to make effective use if local care services.
“They also offer an opportunity for people with rheumatoid arthritis to meet others with the same condition and share experiences.”
