PUPILS at St John’s Primary School visited Wallingford Museum to learn about life in the Second World War.

Hannah Satchwell, 11, Charlie Holton, 10, and Shea Sullivan, 11, are pictured inside a replica air raid shelter, like those many Britons had in their homes. Shea said: “It’s pretty cool because it looks like a real air raid shelter.”

Museum curator Judy Dewey said: “We also got them to try on the gas masks. We tailor the exhibitions for the kids when they come along.”
