Repairs to hole in road ending soon
Work to fill in a hole in St Georges Road in Wallingford should be finished by tomorrow, according to the mayor.
On Saturday, August 23, reports surfaced of a hole “big enough to swallow a van” between Clapcot Way and Blackstone Road.
A single brick appeared to be missing, pictured, but observers have said the hole looks bigger underneath. Oxfordshire County Council’s highways team have been on site this week. Councillor Lynda Atkins said repair work is ongoing.
