Road jump threat

Police closed the Dorchester bypass after a man threatened to jump from a footbridge today.

Trained negotiators were called to the Queenford Bridge over the A4074 at Dorchester at around 1.20pm.

Officers closed the road between Berinsfield and Shillingford until the man was safely removed from the bridge at 2.50pm.

No one was arrested and the man was placed in the care of Oxford and Buckinghamshire Mental Health Trust.

Hope they charge him for all the professional help that was called. That was a cry for help if he had been serious he would have gone off somewhere quiet and done it

cottage2day, Oxford....are you for real? They closed the road in case he jumped. What would you do?...negotiate with the daily traffic flowing by? Stop posting rubbish.
