TOWNSFOLK are being encouraged to get involved in a range of adult learning courses launching this month.

The courses, run by Worcestershire County Council, are designed to improve skills and help people into employment, further learning, or enhance enjoyment of their leisure time.

Courses, which are run in children's centres, village halls and libraries, begin this month, so interested residents are urged to enrol as soon as possible.

A computing for beginners and improvers course is being run on Tuesdays, between 10am-noon, from April 23.

The course takes place at Bromsgrove Library, Stratford Road. Anyone interested is asked to call Abigail on 01905 822722.

A computer course is being run at the Trunk, in Humphrey Avenue, Charford.

Computing for beginners takes place every Thursday, between 10am-noon, from April 18.

Also on Thursdays at the venue, a computing for improvers runs between 12.30-2.30pm, from the same date.

Several courses are being held at Rubery Library, in Library Way.

A functional skills English course runs every Wednesday between 10am-noon from April 24.

A building bridges course also takes place on Wednesdays, from the same date, between 1-3pm.

From April 25, a hill walking course will be held every Thursday, between 10am-noon.

There will also be a positive outcomes - assertiveness course running on Thursdays, between 12.30-2.30pm, running from the same date.

On Fridays, starting April 26, the library will host a recreational online activities course and a using online Government services course - both at the same time, between 1-3pm.
