HERE’S your chance to enjoy a fantastic family day out this summer at Beaulieu, one of the South’s leading visitor attractions.

The Herald has teamed up with the Beaulieu in the heart of the New Forest in Hampshire to offer readers the chance to win six family tickets, worth £55 each.

From July 19 to August 31, there will be special activities for all the family as well as Beaulieu’s usual attractions.

Visitors will have the chance to watch special falconry displays in the picturesque Cloister of Beaulieu Abbey to learn about the history of falconry and see some of these amazing birds in flight.

You can then take a trip back in time as you join the Victorian house party in Palace House with music and singing in the Lower Drawing Room, family games outside on the lawns and daily playlets to enjoy Veteran and vintage cars motoring around the grounds will add to the atmosphere, you can also see the Victorian cyclist on his pennyfarthing.

You can join the Victorian gardener for a tour of the kitchen garden where produce for the Palace House kitchen is grown and meet Brother William, the Cistercian monk, in Beaulieu Abbey and hear his talks on the folklore of herbs and the life of the monks who lived there.

Returning to the modern age, visitors can jump aboard the high-level monorail, see the sights from the open-topped bus or get in the driving seat on the go-karts.* Budding young drivers can take to the road on Dipstick’s Driving Circuit** in mini motorised vehicles, while younger visitors can enjoy the Mini Motor Play Trail with its Veteran Bus climbing frame, swings and Little Tykes ride-on-cars. Car enthusiasts will love touring the National Motor Museum’s stunning collection of more than 250 vehicles and its new multimedia display, For Britain & For The Hell Of It, featuring Beaulieu’s iconic Land Speed Record vehicles.

Also new for 2014 is The Motorcycle Story, with displays on road safety, British youth culture in the 1950s and 1960s and a variety of racing disciplines.

And there’s the updated World of Top Gear exhibition, where you can see vehicles from the TV motoring show. Vehicles from the world of TV and film can be seen in the On Screen Cars exhibition.
