PARISH councillors have objected to a new house being built because it is on the wrong side of the road.
Grove Parish Council officially opposed a plan to build to build the two-storey detached home on a former builder's yard east of Station Road, the A338.
The council's planning committee, meeting on August 9, concluded: "We object to new developments on the east site of the A338.
"Historically, Grove Parish Council does not believe that there should be any new development on that side of Grove."
Planning authority Vale of White Horse District Council will now make the final decision on the scheme.
