VOLUNTEERS are invited to come and give a town park an autumn clean-up this weekend.
The trustees who look after the Betjeman Millennium Park in Wantage are already hoping a team of Cubs and Beavers will help with the Big Leaf Clearing Bash on Saturday from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
The team will have bags and rakes, but said they would welcome more 'leaf-clearing gear' if people have it, and advised volunteers to bring gloves.
Tea and cobham cake are promised as a reward 'when the last leaf is done'.
