A DOG Breeder from Wantage said her prized Chihuahua is ‘a little bit special’ after he walked away with the best of breed prize at this weekend’s Crufts show.

Champion Mr. Incredible De L’ise Au Vert Coteau Nikitos, whose pet name is Bob, was initially entered on Saturday into the open dog class which had 23 entries.

He was awarded the Dog Challenge Certificate and later went onto win the Best Of Breed Award after competing against nearly 200 other dogs.

Beverley Sutton from Wantage, who has had Bob for 12 months, said the victory by the 17-month-old dog were unexpected and said: “Getting the best of breed award was the icing on the cake.

“Considering how young he is, he is a little bit special.”

Ms Sutton took four of her nine dogs to compete in the show, which has been running since 1891.

Woody, Smartie, Sharley and Bob all made the trip, with Woody awarded second place in the Toy Group category with his sister Smartie winning the Post Graduate Bitch Class.

Sharley was also placed second out of 14 in the Limit Bitch Class.

Crufts culminated in the Best in Show on Sunday night, with Tease the Whippet crowned the overall winner.
