Sir, Travelling to our excellent local post office at Clifton Hampden recently, I was delighted to see several men in yellow jackets by the river bank in Long Wittenham.
At last we are having something done about the state of the river and, maybe, work to avoid the flooding we had this year when the bridge was closed for a month.
No, David Cameron was coming to fill in the two smallest potholes by the river’s edge; what a wonderful backdrop for the photo.
Please come back and fill in the larger holes which have been circled in white and are dangerous for both cyclists and cars.
