Sir, We have lived in south Abingdon for nearly 50 years and until recently it was a very pleasant walk in to town via Wilsham Road. Now the riverside between Preston Road and Caldecott Road is a disgusting eyesore — weeds everywhere and the grass hasn’t been cut for ages.
Surely the council concerned could spare a man for a day to make Wilsham Road look nice again. By the way, the flower-beds and baskets in other parts of the town look very nice.
