Sir, On Monday, October 6, I returned to Redbridge park-and-ride to travel home via Woodstock (A44). Unfortunately I do not possess a sat-nav and was at a loss about how to get to the A44.
I approached a man on the car park and asked him for directions. He was very nice and insisted on me following him through Oxford so that I did not get caught up in roadworks on the A34.
It is so refreshing to find a Good Samaritan in these times. I am most grateful to this generous individual and, through your newspaper, I would like to say a big thank-you to him. I did not get his name (only that he lived in Abingdon) but I am sure he will remember helping a damsel in distress.
Dawn Bissell (Mrs) Kingsswinford West Midlands
