Sir, I went out to Oxford on a Saturday a couple of weeks ago to see a show. Coming back on the late bus that arrived in Didcot at 11.10am I walked over to the taxi rank. I saw a taxi and went to get in only to be told it had been booked. Coming away, I saw a long queue of young people waiting for taxis. They all laughed and said as I was old I could go the front.
A taxi arrived and a young man ran over and said something to the driver who called me over. The taxi driver was also very kind and waited to see me safety indoors.
So a big thank you to the youth of Didcot, it made a plesant ending to my Saturday night out. As I’m 83 you can imagine I was a little scared to be out so late, so thanks again.
Mrs H Slinn
