Sir, What a truly amazing sight to see those four men of Wantage each who have given 50 years of charitable service for their community (Wantage and Grove Herald, January 7). I’m sure they richly deserve the awards given to them by their Rotary International organisation. Pity we don’t see more of their sort receiving MBEs in the New Year’s Honours awards rather than those who do receive them for doing the job they are paid to do.
