Sir, It could not be a better time to take up outdoor swimming. With outdoor and open water swimming becoming more popular, and lidos making a comeback, there are venues and training opportunities around the country open to people who are keen to develop their swimming skills.
It is, therefore, tragic to see that the Vale of the White Horse is contemplating closing the Abbey Meadow outdoor pool, instead of making the long overdue investments that would help to attract more local families and visitors to this pool in such a beautiful setting.
