Sir – I wanted to write to say thank you for the great photos and write-up about Wantage Junior Showstoppers performance of Bye Bye Birdie (July 8).
The children put on a great performance at KA’s Centre site, Wantage, and as a parent and member of the committee, I feel they certainly did themselves proud.
Councillor Mike Badcock (chairman of the Vale of White Horse District Council) came with his wife to watch Friday’s performance and wrote to us afterwards, stating “Please can you pass our congratulations to ALL who took part in last night’s performance of Bye Bye Birdie”.
A lot of work but what a result.
My ears were ringing at the screaming; some people were really enjoying letting themselves go. Our students are a great bunch of talented individuals, with a supportive set of parents, but unfortunately our current director is stepping down.
