Sir – In current affairs, the worst thing that can occur is secrecy.

The Chilcot report and the death of Dr Kelly has been shrouded in silence. A lot of the information was hidden away for 70 years. No-one has been allowed to see what these writings were about.

Anyone alive in the last 70 years will have more important things to worry about than the tragic death of Dr Kelly.

A number of people should be brought to book, especially those who couldn’t remember what happened on a certain day. Although it is late, justice must be served for the man who did so much for this country.
