A SUCCESSION of postponements have forced Oxford United’s under 18s to switch the venue of their FA Youth Cup tie to Barnsley.
The third round meeting at Thame United has been called off three times, most recently on Wednesday night, due to an unplayable surface at the ASM Stadium.
The Yorkshire club have twice made a fruitless 300-mile round trip, amid much frustration.
To avoid any further delays, the U’s have agreed to allow Barnsley to host the game at Oakwell next Tuesday, January 15.
The winners will host Stevenage in the next round.
