MAX Crocombe has been selected for the New Zealand squad for the OFC Under 20 Championship in Fiji next month.

The 19-year-old was included in a group of 26 players last month and he is one of two goalkeepers in the final 20-man squad.

Crocombe, who made his first team debut for United against Burton Albion last month, was thrilled to get a Junior All Whites call-up.

He said: "It's brilliant news.

"It's the next step on the ladder and I know I've still got a long way to go to get to where I want to be, but this means a lot to me."

The winners of the tournament, held on March 21-29, will go on to the Under-20 World Cup in Turkey this summer.

Crocombe will miss several United games, so Wayne Brown will come into the squad as back-up for Luke McCormick.

Good for Max but watch out, Wilder will as usual let the good players leave without mention, then they pop up and bite us in the rear later on.

Mark my words, him and Tyrone will be gone at the end of the season if WIlder is still there, lets hope and pray he is gone soon.

Give it a rest man your rants are getting beyond boring! IL has already said they have started talks with Max and Tyrone with a view to keeping them at the club for the next 3 years, Instead of forever slagging CW and the club off why don't you try to actually support the club?

Well said magiltonmagic, it's always the same people saying the same thing over and over. No wonder the team are low on confidence if they get this sort of 'fan' turn up every week just to have a moan whilst stuffing their face with a ridiculously over priced pie. Most of the people who post on here wouldn't have the balls to take CW's job let alone know how to manage the team. It makes me laugh how many people on here talk about the old days when we were successful, yes we were a great team but why not try supporting the team and help them get back the the glory days instead of slagging them all off. Yes this season hasn't been great but CW allowed us to experience something amazing by getting us to Wembley and winning the playoffs. Funny how people forget little things like that.

I buy my season ticket and am entitled to an opinion, I chose to publicly view my opinion and guess what? No small minded person shall stop me.

So I say once again, Wilder out, also out with the donkey midfield players and give the young a chance, sign fit players not broken ones and play football showing you care.

The bigger picture is were still not safe from relegation, Wilder is the 9th longest serving manager in the football league are were play like we dont know what were doing sometimes and going nowhere.

Better managers than him have been dismissed, its now his time to go and refresh the structure of the club.
