LONDON Welsh have appointed former England and British & Irish Lions centre Ollie Smith as assistant coach.
Smith, 31, who played for Leicester and Harlequins before retiring due to injury, has been working with head coach Justin Burnell and assistant Gordon Ross on a trial basis for a number of months.
But the club are "delighted" to confirm that his role has now been made permanent.
