Nine-man Berinsfield pulled off a stunning win as they continued the defence of their Oxfordshire Intermediate Cup title on Saturday.

They saw off Midland Combination Res Division 1 hosts Banbury United Res in a third-round tie, coming from behind twice to win 3-2 after extra time.

Mike Hinkin netted the winner after Brian Rawlings and Chris Murphy had scored. Marcus Green and Kieren Westwood notched for Banbury.

However, the game was marred when Berinsfield’s Mark Ingram and Danny Brind were both given their marching orders on the hour.

North Berks League Division 3 side Westminster scored twice in the last five minutes to win 3-2 at Oxfordshire Senior League outfit Yarnton with Sam Dallimore, Simon Joyce and Kieran Hughes all on the mark.

Dorchester ran out 7-1 winners at Oxford University Press Res from Oxfordshire Senior League Division 2.

Josh Nicholls fired a brace while goals from Joe Dixon, Jamie Fleet, Aston Shaw, Josh McInnerney and Sam Bucket completed the tally.

Watlington Town won 1-0 at Clanfield 85 Res.
