OXFORD United are contacting the 2,000 supporters who have slipped away over the last four years in a bid to win them back.

The new season ticket prices are unveiled this morning, in what the U’s are hoping is a clearer format than before.

East Stand prices for adults are frozen at £254 for renewals and £281 for early birds, while those in the South Stand Lower, including the family area, face only minimal changes.

There are larger increases in the North Stand and the South Stand Upper, but concessions have been extended to include students.

In addition to a number of benefits, including bringing a friend along for free to a game, there is an attempt to bring back supporters who no longer have season tickets.

They will all receive a letter detailing the new offers, which means they can buy at a renewal rate.

Gerald Kelly, United’s marketing manager, said: “We know they have been loyal fans and they’re the people we want to get back.

“We’ve also wanted to make things clearer, so have reduced the number of price brackets.”

Levels will not change if the U’s win promotion.
