AN injury-time goal from Jack Longford extended Didcot Town’s unbeaten run in Division 1 South & West to 15 games on Saturday.

The Railwaymen had to come back from two goals down to grab a point at improving Fleet Town.

Didcot were forced into several changes with Jamie Heapy given a rare start and fellow joint-manager Ian Concannon drafted in as an unused substitute.

They started brightly with striker Ryan Brooks firing an early chance inches wide.

However it was the home side, who went ahead when Simba Mlambo headed home just before the break after a brilliant save from keeper James Foster had earned Fleet a corner.

The visitors almost levelled straight away, but Fleet keeper Ryan Price saved from well from Brooks.

Three minutes into the second half, Fleet doubled their advantage when Aaron Blaxhall’s floated cross-cum shot drifted over Foster’s head and into the far corner of the net.

Didcot battled their way back into it and reduced the arrears courtesy of a John Mills penalty – his 35th goal of the campaign – with 15 minutes remaining.

Then, in the last minute of stoppage time, the Railwayen secured a share of the points when substitute Longford headed home over the despairing dive of Price.

Didcot Tn: Foster, Organ, Heapy (Baines 59), Self (Longford 59) Learoyd, Carnell, Dutton-Black, Ballard, Brooks, Mills, Woodley (Clark 59). Sub not used: Concannon.

Attendance: 158.
