ADAM Tucker was the star of the show as Shrivenham comfortably defeated visitors Radley by 139 runs in OCA League Division 1 on Saturday.

Tucker top-scored with 91, as Shrivenham set 243-6. The target proved way beyond the visitors, who were shot out for 104, Chauran Chahal taking 4-24.

The Target Score (TS) method was needed to decide the match at Stonesfield, where Faringdon ran out five-wicket victors.

Stonesfield were 139-3 when the rain came after 34 overs.

Chasing a revised target of 125 off 29 overs, Faringdon reached 125-5 as Luke Bowerman hit 37.

East & West Hendred are the early pacesetters in Division 2 after a crushing 148-run win at home to Broughton & North Newington.

Jack Mulford fell one short of a century in Hendred’s 237-6, before Kashif Rashid claimed 5-15 in ten overs to rip through Broughton for just 89.

Clifton Hampden beat hosts Chadlington by 14 runs on the TSmethod.

Clifton set 190-9 as Richard Beard hit 56 and David Pimm 54 not out.

After a rain delay, Chadlington were set a revised target of 145 for victory in 30 overs, but they managed only 130-7.

A half-century from Damien Wiskin and 47 not out from Ben Tew led Wootton & Boars Hill to an eight-wicket win at home to Wantage.

The visitors set 123-4 in a rain-affected clash, before Wiskin and Tew steered Wootton to 128-2.

Sunningwell rattled up a formidable 241-3 to beat hosts Dorchester by 71 runs in Division 4.

Thomas Harris led the way with 96 not out. In reply, Dorchester fell to 170 all out, despite 65 from Adrian Redhead.

Uffington posted only 139-7 on a tricky pitch as Stuart Bullen took 5-24 for visitors Swinbrook.

But 5-24 from Justin Lelliott ensured Swinbrook were bowled out for 136.

Edd Howlett (54no) led Watlington to a two-wicket win at West Ilsley.

The home side were restricted to 136-8, thanks largely to 4-21 from Owen Lewis, before Howlett led Watlington to victory.

In Division 5, Bampton won by seven wickets on the Target score method against visitors Britwell Salome.

After bowling Britwell out for just 57, their revised target after a rain delay was just 38, and they eased to 40-3 for victory.

Kennington defeated visitors Chipping Norton 2nd by 16 runs.

They had crawled to 131 all out as Andrew Tompkins took 4-25.

But, helped by Misha Brazier-Tope (3-31), Kennington dismissed Chippy for just 115 in reply.

In Division 6, the TS method led to a tie at Faringdon 2nd, who were hosting Steventon.

The visitors had been bowled out for just 108 as Alex Robinshaw took 6-33 and Alan Johnson 3-3. Chasing a revised target of 75 in 26 overs, Faringdon made 75-1.

East & West Hendred 2nd cruised past hosts Hanney by six wickets.

Pete Beckley (4-21) was the pick of the Hendred attack in Hanney’s 73 all out, and then Nigel Hutt hit 38 not as Hendred eased to 76-4.

Kidlington 2nd saw off visitors Radley 2nd by three wickets.

Waseem Azad took 5-19 and Ajay Behal 4-43 to help dismiss Radley for 154.

Sahil Kalyan then hit 55 not out to see Kidlington to 155-7.

Wootton & Boars Hill 2nd benefited from the TS method as they saw off hosts Kilkenny 2nd by seven wickets in Division 7.

The home side scored 178-5, Daniel Floyd hitting 80 not out and Gary Doggett 80. The revised target was 152, and Mark Taylor (65no) and Omar Hussain (54no) saw Wootton to victory.

Martyn Oliver’s 5-7 helped to skittle visitors Uffington 2nd for 31 as Hanborough 2nd cruised to a ten-wicket win.

In Division 8, Deepak Patel returned superb figures of 7-22 to help Marcham 2nd to an 87-run win at Risinghurst 2nd.

Chris Webb (31) was the top score in Marcham’s 137-9, Santha Thirupathi taking 5-19.

Patel then took his magnificent seven to dismiss the hosts for just 50.

Britwell Salome 2nd saw off Dorchester 2nd by seven wickets.

Chris Little’s 4-47 helped to bowl the visitors out for 157, before Paul Lawrence hit 55 in Britwell’s 158-3.

Sunningwell 2nd slipped to a five-wicket home defeat against Chalgrove.

Tom McDermott claimed 4-25 in Sunningwell’s 106 all out, before Neil Bailey hit 71 not out to steer the visitors to 108-5.

In Division 9, Charlbury duo Ellie Norton and Vicky Strode took four wickets apiece to help their side to a 58-run win against visitors Kennington 2nd.

Charlbury had earlier set 169-8, a target that was revised to 147 after rain.

But Strode (4-21) and Norton (4-22) bowled superbly in tandem to bowl Kennington out for 89.

The Target Score method was also required at Hook Norton 2nd, who lost by ten wickets against Deddington 2nd.

Swinbrook 2nd saw off visitors Hanney by 109 runs.

David Martin (40) and Ryan Dadge (39) helped Swinbrook to 178 all out, before Dadge claimed 4-18 and Mark Reed 4-24 to dismiss Hanney for just 69 in reply.
