FARINGDON moved up to second in OCA League Division 1 as they beat visitors Radley by eight wickets in a match reduced to 25 overs per side.

Having restricted Radley to 101-9, Rob Owen hammered 71 not out to lead Faringdon to 104-2.

Shrivenham were no match for a strong Minster Lovell as they slipped to a 63-run defeat.

Conor Taylor and Tari Dogra both took 4-61 for the visitors, but Minster still racked up 272-9.

Taylor hit 67 in the reply, but Shrivenham were held to 209-8.

In Division 2, Mark Baring almost single-handedly led in-form East & West Hendred to a 74-run win at Clifton Hampden.

Hendred were dismissed for 189 as Jon Francis hit 50 and Baring 30, Julian Hitchman taking 4-40 for the home side.

Baring then took over with the ball, claiming excellent figures of 6-27 from 8.5 overs as Clifton were bowled out for 115.

Wootton & Boars Hill defeated visitors Witney Swifts by six wickets.

Martin Bungay (4-30) and Billy Webb (3-23) combined to bowl Swifts out for 138, Kieran Foggett top-scoring with 72 not out.

Wootton eased to 140-4 in reply as Ben Tew hit 45 and Marc Glover 42.

Wantage hammered visitors Broughton & North Newington by ten wickets.

Will Harvey (3-22) and Barry Martin (3-27) starred as Broughton were all out for 122. Colin Mercer (64no) and Richard Chapman (55no) knocked off the runs with ease.

Marcham won their basement battle with visitors Stanton Harcourt by three wickets in Division 3.

Thomas Mooring was Marcham’s main man as he took 4-26 in Stanton’s 156 all out, before top-scoring with 55 as his side reached 157-7.

In Division 4, Deddington beat visitors West Ilsley in five wickets.

Maneesh Verma took 3-51 as West Ilsley set 229-5, Adam Barnes hitting 78 and Dan Simmons 63.

Deddington reached 230-5 to seal victory as Verma hit 68 and Gerard Duncan 65.

Sunningwell thrashed hosts Hailey by eight wickets in Division 4.

Pete Whinfrey (4-42) and Ben Roberts (3-40) combined to dismiss Hailey for 152, before Thomas Harris 74 not out and Whinfrey’s 30 not out led Sunningwell to 153-2.

Steve McComb fell two short of a century as Dorchester beat hosts Uffington by 55 runs.

McComb and Adrian Redhead (48) steered Dorchester to 178-5, before Thom Airs claimed 4-24 as Uffington were shot out for 123.

Kennington moved up to third in Division 5 after a thumping 181-run win at home to Charlbury 2nd.

They racked up 241-9 as Ben Andre hit 46 and Graham Rowley 43.

Isaac Pullen then returned 3-13 as the visitors were skittled out for 60.

Great Horwood 2nd brushed aside visitors Britwell Salome by eight wickets.

Simon Ridgway (4-13) and Andrew Ellison (4-15) combined to dismiss Britwell for 135, and then Gary Lee (62) and Greg Saunders (61no) led Horwood to 136-2.

In Division 6, East & West Hendred 2nd edged past visitors Oxenford 2nd by four runs in a thriller.

Nigel Hutt’s 82 not out and 66 from Miles Martin saw Hendred set 198-4.

Oxenford were always in the hunt, thanks to Simon Thwaite’s 60, but they finished just short on 194-9.

Faringdon 2nd youngster Jack Tomes hit 94 helped as his side hammered Hanney by 153 wins.

Tomes’s knock saw Faringdon to 225-8, before Andy Liddiard claimed 3-24 as Hanney were shot out for 72.

Steventon smashed hosts Shrivenham 2nd by 177 runs as Stephen Thompson hit an unbeaten 120.

Glen Willett (79) and Phil Armstrong (65) also weighed in as Steventon posted 304-4.

Armstrong claimed 4-34 as Shrivenham crashed to 127 all out.

Witney Swifts 2nd defeated Wootton & Boars Hill 2nd by 39 runs.

Dave Woodward scored 35 in Swifts’ 153 all out, and then Bob Godwin claimed 3-43 to help dismiss Wootton for 114.

Dorchester 2nd lost by five wickets at Stanton Harcourt 2nd in Division 8.

Declan Wastie claimed 7-36 to extend Stanton Harcourt 2nd’s winning record to five wins out of five.

Wastie’s haul helped to dismiss Dorchester 2nd for 126, before Jake Souch’s 54 not out saw Stanton Harcourt to 128-5.

Chadlington 2nd defeated visitors Marcham 2nd by six wickets.

William Doar took 4-36 to help restrict Marcham to 149-7, and then Paul Duester (67no) led Chadlington to 150-4.

Risinghurst 2nd brushed aside hosts Sunningwell 2nd by nine wickets.

Santha Thirupathi took 4-24 and Graham Drummond 3-22 as Risinghurst bowled their hosts out for 58.

Risinghurst then eased home at 59-1.

In Division 9, Pete Stiles took 5-12 as Westcott 2nd beat visitors Hanney 2nd by eight wickets.

Stiles’s haul reduced Hanney to 129 all out, despite 53 from Steve Lewis.

Nick Solway (36no) then led Westcott to 133-2.

Swinbrook 2nd beat visitors Kennington 2nd by seven wickets in a low-scoring match.

Three wickets apiece for Ryan Dadge and Joe Parker skittled Kennington out for 48, Swinbrook losing three wickets en route to 49-3.
