LEADERS Bicester ran in nine tries to beat Gosford All Blacks 59-7 in Southern Counties North.

The visitors’ physicality, set-piece and finishing power proved too much for the league’s newcomers as Charlie Bethell crossed for a hat-trick.

Tom Miles converted his own try early on, before Dave Hampton picked up a kick forward and touched down.

After just 22 minutes it was 28-0 as Bethell scored in the corner and Christian Mann crashed over.

Gosford bounced back on the stroke of half-time, when Jack Briggs burst through the cover to cross. Tim Ellis converted.

Bicester’s dominance continued in the second half as Dan Spencer was driven across for a try after a line-out.

All Blacks then lost possession in the scrum and Spencer embarked on a 40-metre run and set up Will Thurlow to dive over.

Gosford again lost the ball for Bicester’s seventh try and Bethell scampered around the posts to make it 47-7.

Bicester continued to dominate play and added two more late tries.

Adam White raced over, before Bethell completed his hat-trick.

Miles converted seven of Bicester’s nine tries.

Wallingford enjoyed a 22-5 win at Stow-on-the-Wold.

The south Oxfordshire side made the perfect start, with winger Ralph Smith crossing in the corner.

Stow came into the game, but Wallingford held strong and the hosts soon had a man in the sin-bin.

The visitors made the most of their advantage as James Wiltshire and Conner Murphy touched down,

Stow replied with a try before the break, but Wallingford secured the bonus point in the second half when Ian Jeffreys dotted down.

Phil Dawes kicked one conversion.
