ABINGDON’S Under 15 girls impressed at the fourth round of the Chiltern Cross Country League at Keysoe.
After claiming victory in the Oxfordshire Cross Country Championships a week earlier, they won Division 2 with 71 points ahead of Wycombe Phoenix.
It leaves them second in the overall standings and 16 points behind Bracknell.
Beth Darwent led the way, finishing as the first Division 2 runner in seventh overall.
In the combined under 17 and 20 race, clubmate Katherine Harris came home 25th.
Aflie Clay was 38th in the under 15 boys event.
l NOEL Blatchford started her 2017 race walking campaign at Enfield, completing the five-mile event in eighth place and as the first veteran 65.
