SIMON Eastwood collected two prizes at the Oxford United end of season awards.

The goalkeeper, who played every minute of the club’s 62 games in all competitions, was presented with the Andrew Knapton Trophy for the supporters’ player of the year before Sunday’s 2-0 win against Shrewsbury Town.

But he was also chosen as the players’ player of the season.

Canice Carroll picked up the prize for the club’s top young player.

The versatile 18-year-old made his debut in December and finished with seven appearances, which included stints at right back, left back and right midfield.

Chris Maguire won the golden boot, as his career-best 17 goals for the campaign edged out nearest challenger Kane Hemmings.

A vote held on the night from those in attendance named Rob Hall’s derby-winning strike at the County Ground as the first team’s goal of the year.

U’s skipper John Lundstram and Demi Lambourne were recognised as the men’s and women’s players who had made the biggest community contribution during the campaign.

Lambourne’s teammate Ellie Noble was named as the WSL Emerging Talent of the year.

Kit man Mark Jarrett was a popular winner of the club person of the year prize, while Richard Blackmore was the unsung hero.
