MARK Baring’s hat-trick in superb figures of 6-47 settled a thrilling Division 1 encounter as East & West Hendred edged visitors Yarnton & Cowley by five runs.

Batting first, Hendred were bowled out for 202 in the OCA League as Jack Mulford hit 57 and Muhammad Adil took 5-42.

Baring’s treble helped to reduce the visitors to 86-5, before Yarnton’s Bilal Khan hit 72 to get them close.

But Baring completed his six-wicket haul to dismiss Yarnton for 197.

Faringdon saw off hosts Oxenford by 53 runs.

Ian Oglesby’s 54 was key in Faringdon’s 161-7, and then Will Oglesby took 4-21 as Oxenford were shot out for 108.

In Division 2, Wootton & Boars Hill’s Billy Webb shone in his side’s 37-run home win against Wantage.

Webb struck 66 in Wootton’s 193-8, before he claimed 3-49 and Cam King 3-39 to dismiss Wantage for 156.

Luke Yeulet came within one run of a century for Watlington in their 93-run win at Kidlington in Division 3.

Yeulet’s 99 not out helped Watlington to 213-8, before Dave Hansford took 6-29 as Kidlington were bowled out for 120.

In Division 4, Sunningwell brushed aside visitors Dorchester by nine wickets.

Dorchester were bowled out for 150, James Neal hitting 60 and Ben Roberts taking 4-26.

Thomas Harris then struck 91 not out to lead Sunningwell to 151-1.

A brilliant haul of 7-31 from Hector Agnew helped West Ilsley to a 47-run victory at home to Deddington.

After being bowled out for just 142, Maneesh Verma taking 5-21, Agnew’s seven-wicket haul sent Deddington tumbling to 95 all out.

Britwell Salome lost by four wickets to Division 5 leaders Hook Norton.

Jordan Glazier was the star of the show, taking 4-19 in Britwell’s 132 all out, before striking an unbeaten 52 as Hooky reached 133-6.

Radley saw off visitors Wolvercote by 52 runs.

Robert Glenny took 7-37 as the hosts were bowled out for 140, Naheem Ahmed hitting 60.

Rezwan Rana (4-25) was then the pick of the Radley attack as Wolvercote were dismissed for just 88.

Steventon beat visitors Kennington by six wickets.

Phil Armstrong’s 5-7 helped dismiss Kennington for 96, before he hit 31 not out to lead Steventon home at 99-4.

In Division 6, Charlbury 2nd racked up a massive 316-5 to earn a 114-run win against East & West Hendred 2nd.

Charlie Sinton top-scored with 98, while there were also contributions from Andy Glass (66no), Ayan Chakravartty (66) and Tim Jarvis (54).

Hendred were then restricted to 202-9 in their reply, William Bennett hitting 55.

Faringdon 2nd were hammered by 194 runs at home to Oxenford 2nd.

Batting first, Oxenford posted 247-7 as Rafiullah Kakar hit 60.

Waqas Mir then claimed 4-34 and Richard Rowley 3-10 in Faringdon’s 53 all out.

Tony Launchbury’s 6-27 was not enough for Kidlington 2nd, who lost by two wickets against visitors Wootton & Boars Hill.

Andy Oliver’s 96 was key in Kidlington’s 171 all out.

Launchbury’s haul kept Kidlington in the hunt, but an unbeaten 53 from Rubban Gill saw Wootton to 172-8.

In Division 8 South, a high-scoring match at Dorchester 2nd ended with the home side beating Sunningwell 2nd by 24 runs.

Chris Rudling smashed an outstanding 132 not out as Dorchester racked up 275-5.

Dom Whinfrey hammered a 15-ball half-century in Sunningwell’s reply, before falling for 71. He hit eight sixes in his innings.

Richard Smith also chipped in with 65, but Sunningwell fell to 251 all out.

Watlington 2nd’s crushed visitors Marcham 2nd by 120 runs as Mark Taylor (108) and Rama Garimella (102) hit centuries.

Garimella then completed a fine performance with 3-50 as Marcham were held to 154-7 in their reply, Stephen Hill top-scoring with 86.
