NORTH Leigh twice came from behind to earn a thrilling 4-3 victory at home to Bideford in the Evo-Stik South League.

The Millers trailed 1-0 and 2-1 in the West Division encounter, before a brilliant second-half showing sealed the three points.

Bideford took the lead on 17 minutes when Craig Duff beat debutant goalkeeper Niall Clayton, who is on loan from Oxford United.

The Millers deservedly equalised on 39 minutes as George Seacole powerfully fired past Steve Oliver.

But Bideford led 2-1 at the break when Duff headed past Clayton.

The second half was a different story, though, as the Millers hit three goals in eight minutes.

Matt Grabe’s stunning shot from an acute angle made it 2-2 on 54 minutes, before Dejon Noel-Williams put the hosts in front for the first time.

Seacole then scored his second, lofting the ball over the advancing Oliver from 15 yards.

However, the Millers had a tense finish as Connor Waldron was shown a straight red card following a tussle with Bideford’s Sean Downing with 13 minutes to go.

James Mayne reduced the deficit in the third minute of injury time, but the hosts held on.

Didcot went 2-0 down on 65 minutes as Taunton countered and Ollie Chamberlain powerfully headed home Pierce Mitchell’s cross.

Within 12 minutes it was 4-0, thanks to Matt Wright’s quickfire double.

Bedwell pulled off two further saves to keep the scoreline down, but Didcot were soundly beaten.

Kidlington played out a 0-0 draw at home to AFC Totton.

The hosts created arguably the best chance of the game, but Lewis Gabbidon could only aim a first-half header straight at the goalkeeper.

However, neither side could break the deadlock as they shared the spoils.

Lynton Goss’s wonder goal was not enough as Thame United conceded a 94th minute equaliser to draw 1-1 at Aylesbury in the East Division.

In a quiet first half, Luke Ricketts, Goss and James McGowan went close to opening the scoring for the visitors.

Thame had a strong penalty shout for handball turned down, but they broke the deadlock on 62 minutes.

Goss, playing against his former side, cut inside and unleashed a unstoppable 25-yard effort which flew into the top corner.

The striker hit a post moments later, before David Lynn was denied.

But just as it looked like Thame had secured victory, Jordan Jenkins headed past Craig Hill to earn a draw in injury time.

Thame Utd: Hill, Harrison, Lynn, Hercules, McGowan, Ashworth, Mepham, Goss, Sturgess, Morris (Dennis 82), Ricketts.
