LEADERS Wallingford men’s 2nd are on the verge of securing promotion from MBBO Division 3 following a 3-2 victory at home to Aylesbury 2nd.

Ed Allen, Alex Mitchell and Ben White were on the scoresheet to keep them three points ahead of second-placed Oxford 3rd.

Victory over Sonning 3rd on Saturday will cement their place in the top two and, if results go their way, win the title.

In Division 5, Wallingford 3rd were beaten 4-1 at Phoenix & Ranelagh 2nd.
