ALEX Lynn is hoping this weekend will act as a turning point in his season.

The Grove-based driver sits 14th in the FIA Formula E driver standings after failing to score points in the last two rounds.

Lynn is confident his DS Virgin Racing car has the potential to challenge, with teammate Sam Bird second.

The 24-year-old is optimistic of a strong performance in Germany today, racing on the Berlin Tempelhof – a disused airfield which is mainly concrete.

Lynn said: “We just need to put everything together, and if that happens I’m always confident that the next race will be the one where we get a great result.”

It will be Lynn’s second successive weekend of racing in Germany after he finished fifth in the GT4 class at the Nurburgring 24 Hours with Aston Martin.
