TADMARTON Heath made home advantage tell as they defeated Frilford Heath 2-1 in Section 1 of the Core Golf UK Oxfordshire Foursomes League.
Andy Laird and Barry Pawley edged out Jamie Burns and Sam Boffin by two holes, while James Burton and Joel Smith overcame Lee White and Dean Newbold 3 & 2.
The visitors’ only win came in the top match, where Harry Richardson and Matt Green beat Jamie Powell and Matt Draper 2 &1.
Burford triumphed 2-1 at home to bottom club Buckingham thanks to wins from Tom Roebuck and Jack Bowen, and John Wilks and James Pratt, who walked over.

FRILFORD Heath are running a special women’s golf day at the club on Tuesday, June 4.
The event is aimed at encouraging females of all ages and skill levels to participate in the game.
The club’s coaches will teach newcomers the basics on their golf simulator and as well as outdoors.
The informal session will be held between 4-6pm, to be followed by complimentary drinks and nibbles.
