WOLVERCOTE batsman Tim MacIntyre upstaged Oxenford’s Ayyaz Mallik to seal victory in a high-scoring OCA League Division 1 clash.

Mallick scored a brilliant century for Oxenford, but saw them suffer an unlikely eight-wicket defeat.

The hosts scored 234-9, thanks to Mallick’s unbeaten 127. But MacIntyre went even better, scoring 132 not out as he and Mark Child (60no) saw Wolvercote to 235-2.

George Seacole scored a splendid century as leaders Witney Swifts eased to a

77-run win at Faringdon.

Seacole contributed 120 to the visitors total of

207-5, before Charlie Fisher claimed 3-29 as Faringdon were bowled out for 130.

Yarnton & Cowley ran out seven-wicket winners at East & West Hendred.

The hosts were bowled out for 170 as Jack Mulford made 64 and Muhammad Adil took 4-35.

Abubakar Khan and Muhammad Usman Younis then both hit 59 not out as Yarnton reached 173-3.

Carl Needham took 4-34 as Westcott were shot out for 77 to suffer a 71-run defeat against visitors Marsh Gibbon.

Earlier, Marsh were dismissed for 148, Sam Richardson scoring 60 and Rehman Ullah taking 5-25.

In a quick return match 24 hours later, Marsh Gibbon beat Westcott again, this time by 20 runs.

Richardson scored 79 not out and Joe Leonard 60 in Marsh Gibbon’s 205-7, before Westcott were restricted to 185-9.

A haul of 4-18 from Cam King helped Wootton & Boars Hill to an eight-wicket win against visitors Stonesfield, who were restricted to 99-9. Billy Webb’s 33 saw Wootton home.

In Division 2, Chipping Norton saw off Wantage by three wickets.

Rhys Warner-Carter was the star of the show, taking 3-30 in Wantage’s 170 all out, before hitting 38 as Chippy reached 173-7.

Stanton Harcourt were skittled out for a paltry 48, Tom Weedon claiming 4-19, as Hanborough cruised to a ten-wicket win.

Jamie Clark took 5-30 for Cairns Fudge as they

beat hosts Tetsworth by three wickets.

Tetsworth were dismissed for 127, before Ashley Baxter (48no) led Fudge to 129-7.

Richard Walker’s century helped Kidlington to a nine-wicket win at Broughton & North Newington in Division 3.

Broughton set 204-9, before Walker (103) and Andy Oliver (51no) eased Kidlington to 207-1.

Kilkenny brushed aside visitors Dorchester by 118 runs.

James Kempton played a starring role for Oxenford 2nd as they ran out 94-run victors at Kidlington in Division 5.

Kempton top-scored with 93 not out and Russell Ewings hit 51 in Oxenford’s 229-7.

He then took 5-43 as Kidlington were dismissed for 135.

East & West Hendred 2nd won a high-scoring clash with visitors Yarnton & Cowley 2nd by four wickets.

Yarnton set 282-2, Adhil Ali hitting 98 not out and Imran Shoukat 84 not out.

But Hendred were up to the task, reaching 284-6, thanks to Andy Broadbent’s 93.

In Division 6, Witney Swifts 2nd edged past visitors Risinghurst 2nd by 13 runs.

After being bowled out for 133, Swifts dismissed Risinghurst for 120, Andy Purdie taking 5-17.

Hook Norton 2nd stayed clear at the top of Division 7 North with a 35-run win at Oxenford 3rd.

Tsering Sherpa-Moore top-scored with 97 as Hooky posted 247-9.

Phil Dines scored 93 not out for Oxenford, who were restricted to 212-7.

Emilia Bartram’s 5-28 was in vain for Charlbury 3rd as they lost by two wickets at home to Westcott 2nd.

Elsewhere, Stanton Harcourt beat Kidlington 3rd by eight wickets.

Jake Souch took 5-19 in Kidlington 3rd’s 98, setting up an eight-wicket victory for Stanton Harcourt.

Stonesfield 2nd bowler Dave Skidmore claimed 7-59, but finished on the losing side as Deddington 2nd won by two wickets.

Darren Gordon (74no) and Daniel Floyd (65) helped the hosts to 254-4, before Tom Valentine took 3-28 as Dorchester fell for 136.

Risinghurst slammed visitors Bampton by 151 runs.

Sandeep George led the way with 83 as Risinghurst racked up 257-5. Bampton then fell for 106 as John Thompson took 3-39.

Mark Westerby hit 100 not out for Combe, but it was not enough as Deddington won by four wickets in Division 4.

Westerby’s knock helped Combe to 156-3, but Oliver Roberts (40) saw Deddington to 159-6.

Radley saw off visitors Sunningwell by 67 runs.

Abdur Rasheed Khan (79no) and Shoaib Ahmed (71) helped the hosts to 228-4. Ali Malik then claimed 5-15 to restrict Sunningwell to 161-8.

  • MIDDLETON Cheney eased into the Airey Cup semi-finals with a 64-run victory at Stanton Harcourt.

Stephen King(69) led the way as Middleton rattled up 348-8, while the hosts replied with 274-9 after half-centuries from Arun White (75) and Tom Williams (61no).

Stonesfield edged home by ten runs against Yarnton & Cowley, who made 230-9 in pursuit of the hosts’ 240-6.

Witney Swifts won by 60 runs away to Wolvercote, thanks to a spell of 5-22 from Alfie Saunders, while Watlington defeated Oxenford by 31 runs to complete the last four.
