OXFORD United have appointed Zaki Mohammad Nuseibah and Horst Geicke to their board.

They are the first appointments made by Sumrith ‘Tiger’ Thanakarnjanasuth since he bought the controlling stake in the club seven months ago.

He had been the club’s only board member since Darryl Eales stepped down last month to take up a role at Solihull Moors.

He told the club's website: "These are two very exciting appointments to the board.

"Darryl Eales’ departure has given us a chance to start a new board and both Zaki and Horst are proven businessmen who share my passion for football and I am sure will play a significant role in helping the club continue to move forward.”

Nuseibah, 33, has a background in engineering and studied at Oxford University for a post-graduate diploma in financial strategy.

The Jordanian spent six years working as a trader at Deutsche Bank and has been with Floreat Capital Markets, an independent financial group, since 2013.

He is also a trustee of the Addar Foundation, an educational charity which supports Palestinian students.

Geicke is a German-born entrepreneur with contacts across Asia.
