Challow & Childrey went joint top of Division 2 in the Oxford Times Cherwell League with an impressive six-wicket win at Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts on Saturday Nondies posted 168-8 after being inserted, Ian Mead hitting 43 and Mark Strong 60 not out.
The visitors were always in control in reply once Nick Meadows had hit 64 and Brad Jones 38.
Oxford & Bletch Nondies 6pts, Challow & Childrey 25.
Abingdon Vale handed Banbury 2nd an easy win when they managed 152 after electing to bat.
Only Tim Chilvers (44) showed any urgency as spinner Tom White pinned the home batsmen down to take 4-41 from 15 overs.
Andrew Sabin then showed the Vale batsmen how to run between the wickets by compiling 68 not out, while Chris Board hit 40 in their 157-3.
Abingdon Vale 5, Banbury 2nd 25.
Rob Keates (69) gave Kingston Bagpuize the perfect start against Leighton Buzzard Town in Division 3, but his side struggled against spinners Lee Selfe (4-35) and Antony Francis (3-60).
Bagpuize’s 170-8 never looked enough as Phil Whatmore (43) and Chris Hipwell (39) helped secure a seven-wicket win in only 35 overs.

The batsmen had it all their own way in the Division 5 match between Challow & Childrey 2nd and Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts 2nd, which ended in a draw.
Chris Day (86), Rupert Taylor (52) and Anthony Benson (48no) helped Nondies reach an impressive 310-7 after they chose to bat on a flat track. Day and Taylor added 121 in 20 overs for the third wicket.
Owen Dimbylow then hit a magnificent 108 not out, while Graham Frankland took 4-44 in Challow's 194-6.
Challow 2nd 10 pts, Nondies 2nd 14.
A sparkling all-round performance by Ian Bryan helped Bicester & North Oxford 2nd defeat Abingdon Vale 2nd by five wickets.
Bryan took 5-26 with his left-arm spin as Vale limped to 138 all out, despite 51 from Michael Howe-Davies and 41 from Jonathan Bevan.
Bicester slumped to 43-5 in reply before Bryan (60no) saw them home in the 38th over.

Wallingford’s top-of-the-table clash away to Banbury 3rd was bubbling up nicely when rain called an early halt.
Mark Bowman had hit 59 in Wallingford's 230-8.
Banbury were 75-2 from 20 overs when the match was abandoned.

Didcot maintained their lead in Division 6 thanks to useful knocks by Tom Kennedy (74) and Matt Jones (41) in their seven-wicket win at Long Marston 2nd.
Earlier, Mike Lyons scored 88 in the home side's 159 all out, while Jones had taken 3-36 and Simon Pritchard 3-5.

Didcot 2nd’s Viraj Perera compiled 110 against Stokenchurch 2nd – although his side had to settle for a draw in Division 8.
Connor Morrison added 33 in Didcot’s 221-6 dec.
Stokenchurch held on at 135-8, with Henry Latimer claiming 3-43.
