Ian Concannon’s brace gave Milton United a 2-0 victory away to Division 1 East strugglers Eton Wick in the FTL Futbol Hellenic League on Saturday.
Milton, who included new signing Matt Midwinter in the centre of defence, took the lead in the 32nd minute when Concannon fired home a penalty after Anthony Alleyne was brought down.
Concannon, who has pled-ged himself to the club until the end of the season, was on target again early in the second half when he raced through to shoot home and consolidated their third place in the table.
Richard Saunders bagged a brace as Shrivenham fired a three-goal salvo in the first half to ensure Mark Boyland’s first match in sole charge of Hook Norton ended in 3-0 home defeat.
It took Shrivenham just six minutes of their Premier Division game to open the scoring when the unchallenged Saunders headed in a left-wing corner.
The visitors’ second goal came in similar fashion with James Blake hooking home a corner at the far post.
And Saunders struck again just before the break, slotting the ball past Joe White.
Danny Keen struck a hat-trick as rampant Wantage Town came from behind to thrash hosts Marlow United 6-1 in the Premier Division last Tuesday.
Marlow took an early lead through Nick Flynn, but Wantage responded through Sam Belcher and Keen’s miskicked penalty, awarded for handball.
All this happeneed in the opening six minutes, but there were no further goals in the first half.
Keen completed his hat-trick in the first ten minutes of the second half before being substituted.
His replacement, Sean McKeon, completed the scoring with a brace, against a Marlow side who lost keeper Carl Murray through injury.
