Abingdon Vale were gutted that a heavy downpour between the innings prevented them extending their lead at the top of Division 2 In-form spinner Paul White had bowled superbly to take 5-19 and with some useful support from veteran seamer Ben Humpage (3-13) reduced Morris Motors Exiles to 98 all out.

The Exiles were grateful that Nitin Sehgal managed to compile 51.

But a cloudburst left the outfield under water and no further play was possible.

Abingdon Vale 10pts, Morris Motors Exiles 10.

The only game in the division to finish was between Bledlow Ridge and Kingston Bagpuize.

But even here the weather was the only winner.

Ridge chose to bat and reached 200-6 from 41 overs thanks to Martin Middleton (61), Stephen Bird (43) and Russell Turner (38).

Dave Pearce took 4-96 for struggling Bagpuize.

Robbie Keates then hit 30 in reply, with the visitors on 110-3 after 30.1 overs.

Rain had the final say and the match was abandoned as a draw.

Bledlow Ridge 12, Kingston Bagpuize 10.

There was little action in the other three games in the division.

Tiddington had struggled to 34-3 after 14.3 overs at Horspath, while Leighton Buzzard Town were 59-3 after 15.4 overs at home to Challow & Childrey.

Bourton Vale had scored 46-2 from 14.1 overs at Oxford 2nd before rain brought an end to play in all three games.

All six sides collect ten points.
