Hyron Shallow smashed 177 for Twyford to take his season's tally to almost 900 runs – but had to settle for a draw against a defiant Dinton 2nd in Division 3.

Shallow is on an extraordinary run – his latest effort followed previous scores of 155 not out and 136.

Twyford declared on 308-8, but Matthew Dodds (38) steered Dinton towards 201-8.

Rain ruined the local derby between Witney Mills and Kingston Bagpuize, which was heading for a close finish.

Bagpuize closed on 199-8 thanks to David Warner (38), Dave Pearce (37), Ollie Young (36) and Martin Shepherd (34), Pierre Lefort taking 3-33 and Jim Skelson 3-65.

Ross Morgan then hit 54 and Pete Claridge was 48 not out with the total on 149-3 after 36.4 overs when the rain came, Tom Scrase jnr (3-35) taking all the wickets to fall.

Oxford 3rd slumped to their fifth straight defeat after they were skittled for 112 at Bledlow Village.

Only Tallat Mehmood (56) put up much resistance as Matt Bolton (4-43) and Chris Spooner (3-14) ran riot.

James Bacon then hit 38 and Charles Downes 30 as Bledlow eased to 113-3.

Left-armer Dan Scott took 4-25 and left-arm spinner Lee Selfe 4-48 as Leighton Buzzard Town restricted Buckingham Town 2nd to 156-9.

Mike Taylor (58) top-scored for Buckingham, but Phil Whatmore (61no) guided Leighton to 157-4 in 35.2 overs.

Wolverton Town dominated their match with Bledlow Ridge from start to finish, but could not force the win.
