Didcot enjoyed the double whammy of securing their first win in Division 4 and doing so at the expense of local rivals Challow & Childrey 2nd, who were previously unbeaten.

Matthew Jones produced a match-winning spell of 5-40 as Challow could manage only 140-8 before rain curtailed their innings to 48.1 overs.

Andrew Spindler (39) and Simon Pritchard (34) then oversaw the successful run chase which saw the visitors reach 144-6, despite Rudi du Plessis's 3-39.

Oxford Downs 2nd were struggling on 40-3 at home to Bicester & North Oxford 2nd when skipper Matty Watts went in.

When he was out from the penultimate ball of the 45-over innings, he had scored 107 and his side were in the healthier position of 196-8.

The visitors were soon in trouble on 12-3, but they stayed in the hunt thanks to Adam Wade (33) and Trevor Price (32).

Tim Hook (4-28) and Richard Gauntlett (3-41) chipped away and despite a handy seventh-wicket partnership of 45 between Andrew Wingfield-Digby and Stephen Conway, Bicester fell for 163.

Buckingham Town 2nd seemed sure to see off Stokenchurch before heavy rain deprived them of victory.

Only Paul Maddock (32) got going in Stokenchurch's 114 all out as the batsmen struggled against Dominic Pritchard, who took 3-18 from 13.3 overs.

Town had reached 41 without loss after ten overs before the weather intervened, but at least they got to keep the 11 bonus points they earned during the match.
