Oxford Downs 2nd skipper Matty Watts continued his fine form with the ball in Division 4 by taking 5-52 as Banbury Twenty 2nd were bowled out for 188. Ansar Aslam hit 51.

Ian Caunce then clubbed an unbeaten 121 as Downs reached 189-6 to claim the win and go above Great Brickhill at the top.

Shannon Tubb hit one of the highest scores in the league's history, but his unbeaten 187 only helped Great Brickhill secure a draw at Princes Risborough.

Andy Ward added 62 as Brickhill racked up 315-4 dec.

Tubb then took 4-49, but Risborough showed plenty of resolve to reach 173-6.

Matt Dyer (66) and Luke Cherry (53) were the main contributors to Cropredy’s 216 all out, made at home to Aston Rowant 2nd.

Matt Needham (70) then made the highest score of the match, but received little support as Rowant crumbled to 130 all out against Ed Somerton (3-30) and Wayne Hazel (34).

Shipton-under-Wychwood 2nd’s 201-9 off 53 overs proved to be insufficient as Stokenchurch raced to 202-2 from only 30.

Arshad Latif led the way with 62 and then Gary Murton (67no) and Paul Maddock (30no) put on 97 in 14 overs to complete the win as thunder rumbled around.

Earlier, Andy Thompson had top-scored with 63 for Shipton, while Maddock had taken 3-54.

Cumnor 2nd’s Steve Slade rolled back the years to take 4-13 as he combined with Gareth Brown – who claimed 3-29 from 16 overs – to dismiss Kimble for 149. Only Sam Agace (50) spared the visitors an even lower score.

Ian Belcher then hit 56 as the hosts eased to 152-3 and their first win since May 16.
