WHITE Horse Harriers were jubilant after they won the under 11 boys’ team competiton in Oxfordshire Junior Track and Fi eld League meeting at Banbury.
Ryan Craze was their fastest in the 75m with 10.7secs, setting a club record to finish second overall.
Jack Howes was third overall, coming fourth in the vortex throw with a club record 32.95m.
In the 600m, Craze was fourth in a time of two minutes dead, and his teammates were not far behind.
All the boys performed superbly in the long jump Craze winning it with a jump of 3.75m.
White Horse’s 4x100m relay team also broke the old club record by three seconds.
Phoebe Leech, compeing in her first ever league match for the under 9 girls, set an age-group club record of 2.27 in the 600m.
Toby Bellerby was unchallenged as he won the under 13 boys’ 800m in 2.32.8 He was backed up in the B string by Harry Broad making a fine debut for the club, winning a hard-fought sprint to the line.
Alex Mills had a heavy fall in the under 17 men’s 800m, but got back on his feet and managed to catch some of the other competitors.
Gary Paterson broke his own shot put club record with a new mark of 9.24m.
Chloe Craze smashed the club under 13’s 200m record in 27.7secs – a time that puts her ninth in the UK rankings.
