Hammer thrower Emma O’Hara will bid to strike gold for Oxfordshire again at the English Schools’ Track & Field Championships at Birmingham’s Alexander Stadium on July 5 and 6.
The 18-year-old, from Larkmead School, Abingdon, won the intermediate girls’ competition at Gateshead in 2011, but had to settle for bronze 12 months ago.
Now in her second year as a senior, O’Hara, who recorded a throw of 53.26m at the Oxfordshire Schools Championships, will be looking to do better.
