RADLEY stalwart Jill Slatter has received a special accolade for her contribution to the sport.
The 80-year-old was presented with the England South East Regional Council Award for Services to Athletics.
Slatter, one of the founding members of Radley AC in 1972, continues to act as a sprint and hurdles coach, despite undergoing spinal surgery in 2013.
She also sits on the committee, who nominated her for the award, and also acts as a track judge.
ABINGDON’S Jack Shayler and Michael Fabes competed on the international stage in Conzumel, Mexico.
Shayler came fourth in the ITU Aquathlon World Championships, while Fabes was in action in the ITU World Triathlon Grand Final, finishing eighth.
AT the British Masters Championships in Birmingham, Mark Spivey won the vet 55 pole vault and Noel Blatchford clinched the vet ladies 65 5km walk.
